Age, character & condition
Everything offered for sale is sold as found, with its existing patina and the wear, marks and imperfections of age. Unless a listing expressly says otherwise, pieces have not been restored. Any gentle beeswax treatment does not amount to restoration. Please read the description and photographs, and ask for additional photographs, measurements or a detailed condition report before agreeing a purchase.
Dates, makers, origins and attributions are given in good faith; provisional or uncertain details are identified where known. Dimensions described as approximate should be checked with us for your intended space. “Sold as found” describes condition; it does not remove your legal rights or excuse an inaccurate description.
Enquiries, prices & delivery
The website is an enquiry catalogue. Contact us to confirm availability, condition, the total price, payment and delivery before purchase. Prices are in pounds sterling. Postage, packaging and delivery are additional and must be agreed before payment. Where relevant, we will explain known customs or import arrangements and charges before you commit. Delivery timing, the seller’s full contact and geographical address, and any applicable cancellation information will be supplied with the written purchase details.
Electrical lighting
All vintage and antique electrical lighting is sold strictly as found. It has not been rewired or electrically tested unless expressly stated. Buyers must arrange and pay for professional rewiring and replacement or updating of electrical fittings before installation or use.
Cancellations & returns
We do not offer discretionary returns beyond your statutory rights. For most consumer distance purchases, you may cancel within 14 days of receipt, then return the goods within 14 days of notifying us. Email steph@bastionantiques.com with your name and purchase details; no special form is required.
Change-of-mind return costs are yours where disclosed before purchase. Refunds include basic outward delivery and are normally made within 14 days of return or evidence of dispatch. Excessive handling may reduce the refund. Faulty or misdescribed goods retain statutory remedies, including applicable return costs. Contact us for return arrangements; this does not restrict cancellation rights.
Cryptocurrency payments
Ask about cryptocurrency payments when enquiring about a piece. Accepted currencies, the network, the quoted amount, any fees and wallet details are agreed individually in writing before payment. Payment is made directly to our wallet. Please wait for confirmed instructions before transferring funds. Paying in cryptocurrency does not change your statutory rights.
